Explore the rugged natural beauty of Southeast Alaska where bears and eagles make their home. The M/V David B is a great way to experience the spectacular scenery and majestic wildlife of Southeast Alaska. This cruise starts from Juneau and returns to Juneau. Unlike most cruises, we generally travel only during daylight hours, so you won't miss any of the sights. We search out quiet secluded anchorages that bring you into the heart of Alaskan wilderness. When we are anchored we have plenty of time for going ashore for wilderness hikes and kayaking most mornings and afternoons.
Along the way we will be looking for orca and humpback whales, bears, seals and many kinds of birds. We will also explore fjords, view breathtaking waterfalls and observe magnificent glaciers. Spend time ashore exploring trails or visiting small villages and famous towns of Southeast Alaska where you can experience the unique Alaskan culture that makes up this last frontier. Paddle a kayak out for a close-up look at the spectacular glacier carved fjords. Relax inside the warm pilothouse with some fine wine while our chef prepares gourmet meals on our wood-burning cook stove. The captain and crew of the David B work extra hard to provide you with an atmosphere that is friendly, relaxed and luxurious.
