Experience Alaska's own bears fishing for salmon in a rushing river, float among icebergs as a glacier tumbles into the sea and watch as a 40-ton whale breaches right out of the water. This voyage will explore the Tongass National Forest, the largest in North America. We will go ashore daily to find beautiful forest walks, tumbling waterfalls and hike up to alpine meadows and bogs. With the onboard naturalist, we will observe the fascinating wildlife, explore for shoreline intertidal creatures and keep a daily record of the various species of birds, plants, and marine mammals we observe. This cruise departs from Sitka, AK and arrives in Wrangell, AK.
