Port Townsend, WA

Port Townsend is located on the Olympic peninsula. To get there from Seattle we recommend renting a car and driving to the Seattle pier 52 ferry landing to Bainbridge Island. From there drive about 1 and a half hours to Port Townsend.

Participants will meet at the top of the Municipal Dock in Bella Bella. The municipal dock is a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport in Bella Bella.

Sydney, AK

The trip starts and finishes in Sidney, BC. Close to Victoria, our start point is minutes away from the Victoria International Airport and the Swartz Bay Ferry terminal. Participants will meet at 10:00am at the entrance to the Port Sidney Marina, on the Sidney waterfront.

Sandspit, BC

Sandspit is located in the Queen Charlotte Islands, 900 kilometres (550 miles) northwest of Vancouver. Scheduled air service is the fastest, most convenient way to get there. Book your flight well in advance to obtain the best fare. Be advised that flight capacity is limited. Most services and facilities in Sandspit are within easy walking distance of the airport terminal.

These cruises start upon the arrival of morning flights from Vancouver at the Sandspit Airport in Sandspit, BC. This is the principal airport in the Queen Charlotte Islands.

We suggest arriving in the islands at least one day before the trip is scheduled to start. Weather can disrupt flight schedules and delay your arrival. Arriving the day before allows participants traveling across time zones to acclimatize before the trip. You will be met at the Sandspit Airport by a company representative for Bluewater Adventures. You will board a chartered bus for a short one hour bus ride to Moresby Camp, where you board ‘Island Roamer.

Prince Rupert, BC

Air Canada and Hawk Air provide daily flights between Vancouver to Prince Rupert. Hawk Air is a local carrier and may offer the most competitive fare. Air Canada provides service to Seattle and has better connections to other cities. One way fares from Vancouver to Prince Rupert range from $200-$300 CDN ($150-$225 US).

Please note: The Prince Rupert airport is located on Digby Island. Access is only by ferry and shuttle bus between the airport and downtown locations. The shuttle service and airport ferry take about one hour. Please allow plenty of time for airport transfer. Check with your airline for specific instructions on check-in procedures and shuttle bus schedule for flights out of Prince Rupert. Call (250) 622-2222 to confirm the shuttle bus schedule.

No departures from this city, just cruises arriving. You can book a flight out of Wrangell with Alaska Air.

The trip starts and finishes in Port Hardy, BC. Participants will meet at 11:00am at the top of the Municipal Dock, near the Seagate Hotel on the Port Hardy waterfront. Upon boarding the ship, cabins will be assigned, an introductory safety briefing completed and then we set sail for the islands near Port Hardy.

Port McNeil, BC

The cruises that start and finish in Port McNeill, BC. will meet at the top of the Municipal Dock on the Port McNeill waterfront to meet the Island Odyssey.

Provides daily service between Port Hardy and Vancouver International Airport South Terminal. The cost for a return flight between Vancouver and Port Hardy is approximately $300-$400 CAD ($US200-$300). One way travel is approximately $200 CAD. Pacific Coastal Airlines offers discounts for seniors (62 or older). Fares quoted above include taxes and Vancouver International Airport’s “Airport Improvement Fee’ (AIF). .

Operates a shuttle/taxi service between Port Hardy airport and Port McNeill. Travel between Port Hardy airport and Port McNeill takes about 40 minutes and costs approximately $40.00 CAD, with discounts for additional fares (up to five persons). Reservations recommended.
