"Star Sail Cruises 13 Jul 2007 Port Townsend WA. 98368 Greetings; bottom line up front is that Port Townsend is a wonderful unspoiled gem of a city and an absolutely delightful area to visit. My wife and I visited Port Townsend 29 June through 7 July. We sailed on the schooner Martha 30 June through 5 July. The Martha was wonderful as well and even better than I had imagined. The crew, Robert and Holly d’Arcy were professional, friendly, and made us feel at home in PT as well as on the boat. Additionally, their daughter Mary was wonderful and a joy to be with. The sailing experience was absolutely great. The instruction was concise and tailored to the level of the student. Working the boat was a true joy for me and my wife. The Martha is an excellent conduit and historic connection to the heart of your town and the San Juan Islands. All of our contacts with Star Sail Cruises were positive. You and staff were very courteous and helpful. Port Townsend cannot be recreated so please be diligent in keeping its unavoidable growth in check and along a path that will keep and enhance its current charm and beauty. The sailing trip was excellent. I spent 25 years in the military living in Germany, Egypt, and of course visiting many countries and states. The week sail on the Martha is absolutely one of our most enjoyable adventures. We will be back."
